My name is Jeffrey Levy (and right off the bat, I sound like I’m in third grade, introducing myself to the new class).
I’m the Director of Web Communications at EPA. My team runs EPA’s home page, blog, and several other parts of EPA’s Web site. We’re within the Office of Public Affairs, but we work closely with our colleagues in the CIO’s office. You can find me on Twitter (where I talk about social media and government) and GovLoop (although you have to join GovLoop to see me there, if you’re reading this blog, GovLoop is for you).
I first got on Twitter (and Facebook) as an learning experience, to see how people used these tools. My main goal was to understand how EPA could use them to talk to, and with, the public. Twitter soon became a priceless professional research and networking tool, and Facebook is a fun way to stay in touch with friends and family.
I’m pretty active in the interagency Web management world:
- I represent EPA on the Federal Web Managers Council
- I co-chair the Social Media Subcouncil. Please join our wiki and help us write good guidance for government agcnies at every level: federal, state, tribal, and local.
You can find me in a few other places online, too:
